Beneficiaries of the 15th, 16th, and 17th installments are still waiting for the amount to be credited, leading to growing concerns among women.
Why is the Payment Delayed?
The payment process has been delayed for three to four months due to multiple reasons. Sources confirm that the government has already initiated the release of pending funds, and the amount is being credited to bank accounts in a phased manner.
When Will the 15th, 16th, and 17th Installments Be Credited?
In certain districts, the 15th installment has not yet been credited. Due to this delay, many women are facing financial difficulties. According to reports, the pending amount is expected to be deposited in bank accounts by February 15.
The 16th and 17th installments will be released gradually, and all pending payments are expected to be settled by the end of February. This will bring much-needed relief to thousands of women across the state.
Changes in Payment Method?
Reports suggest that the government is considering changes to the fund disbursement process. Previously, the funds were directly credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. However, there is now a possibility of routing payments through the Taluk Panchayat. This move is expected to reduce the burden on the Department of Women and Child Welfare.
Since a statewide one-time fund release is not technically feasible, the government is adopting a phased approach. Beneficiaries will receive an official update from the government once the final decision is announced.
