Bengaluru : The grand Hampi Utsav, also known as Vijay Utsav, will be held this year from February 28 to March 2, 2025, spanning three days, according to an official statement made on Thursday.
Housing Minister and Ballari District In-charge Minister, Zameer Ahmed Khan, stated that the decision for the three-day event was finalized after discussions with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah earlier this morning.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the Hampi Utsav on February 28. The events will continue on March 1 and conclude on March 2, as confirmed by Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan.
Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has directed Ballari District Commissioner Divakar to begin preparations for the event.
This year’s Hampi Utsav promises to be a grand celebration with a traditional touch. Last year, the festival was held from February 2 to 4. However, this year, the event is delayed by nearly a month. Since March marks the beginning of the summer season, the events will primarily be held in the evenings to avoid any discomfort due to the heat, the minister explained.
Hampi Utsav is an annual cultural festival held in the historic town of Hampi. Organized by the Government of Karnataka, it celebrates the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire.
